Armor For Sleep Colorado Springs Concert reviews
Buddy Guy is the Guy
I think Armor For Sleep played only for an hour and a half, which was the only bad thing about this show. He had the crowd engaged, and I don't think anyone would have left even if he played until dawn.
The insight he provides into the evolution of his music career, the way he interacts with the audience, and his honoring of the musicians he has played with over the years is great. Sure, he's a little coarse with his language, but I got to see the real Armor For Sleep. He puts himself and his music out there and pretty much says, "this is me and this is my music, I hope you enjoy it," and I did.
Reflecting on his life and music in such a humble way from the heart, he has this habit of looking down at the guitar pick in the palm of his hand as he's introducing a song or telling you about the people involved in the song. This image shows his love of the music and his life as a musician.
